Short Description About Today
The Beginning of Summer Cycling
Well...technically my scholastic year ends tomorrow but let's just pretend that it has already ended....
Exams came to an end finally after a tedious month of burning through books (yeah..) which limited my cycling by a significant amount and has put my goal of cycling 10,000km in this year back by 507km (around 2 weeks and a half behind schedule!).
But I won't let that deter me from my goal which I set up at the beginning of this year, I know I can achieve it and I will! It's this mindset that you have to adopt in order to achieve whatever your goal is in life, the ability to believe in yourself.
Today's Ride was rather relaxing and very easy. Took off at 7:09am in the early morning breeze and headed to the other side of Gozo to start off the day with Dwejra!
I've missed cycling up Dwejra very dearly, especially when it's that early and there are absolutely no cars and no souls at the bottom of Dwejra. Pristine stuff I tell you! Obviously, I had to take my a few minutes off the saddle to capture a photo for you guys whilst at the bottom of Dwejra which can be seen below...before the inevitable demise of our picturesque landmark occurs and we'll just be stuck with said pictures of it's glory.
Other than that, the ride was a fun hour and a half of mindlessly cycling wherever I pleased whilst enjoying the route to the maximum!
It's going to be a great summer!
