Journal - Ride 88, My First Cycle in Malta

Short Description About Today

  1. Cycling in Malta

wasn't that bad

Contrary to popular belief. No, cycling in Malta won't get you killed...well technically anything can get you killed but just don't think about it.

and with all "first times" it feels pretty good to have cycled in Malta for the first time!

I was quite nervous to be honest...

I tested this myth by cycling in Malta for the very first time yesterday (Wednesday 22nd March) at 7:20pm. Unluckily for me, I live in Msida so...I kinda live in one of the busiest area in Malta and that's not much fun with a weak bike.

Anyway... I met up with my cycling buddy, Brandon cause I literally had no idea where I could go cycle. Obviously, I was late but let's not let that distract us from this blog. We set off at 7:20pm and we cycled to (I'm not really sure) but according to Strava, we went to Mtarfa, Balzan, Mdina and passed through Birkirkara & Gzira.

The ride was quite fun as it's different from cycling in Gozo. In the sense that in Gozo you'd have to repeat the same roads in order to cycle for 30km but in Malta, we never repeated the same road, it was all just one road..kinda like commuting. There were a few honks here and there from mindless drivers but you get that everywhere... I'm sure there'll be more of cycling in Malta coming soon!

Excuse me for the lack of posting but had a pretty busy week.
