Journal - Ride 99, Fiver

Short Description

  1. 5 Rides (thus the name)
  2. Short blog post!

5 Rides (well 4 actually)

4 rides spread over 4 days ( kinda obvious )

Some numbers might seem 'off' but don't accuse me of cheating, they're only off because they're taken from my SIGMA ROX 10.0 computer...Strava rides uploaded from my iPhone doesn't really show 'true' numbers.

60km, 2 hours 30 minutes, 600 meters elevation

57.7km, 2 hours 30 minutes, 670 meters elevation

40.5km, 1 hour 40 minutes, 680 meters elevation

39.6km, 1 hour 55 minutes, 621 meters elevation

197.8km, 8 hours 35 minutes, 2571 meters elevation @ an average speed of 23.68km/h

Excuse the statistical display of meaningless numbers.... I just enjoy calculating numbers, albeit most of the times I do it quite badly...

And you can't really blame me for this bland post, combining 4 rides into one post can either turn into reading a 1000 word, repetitive post or a nice show of numbers (which I'm doing right now!). So you can thank me for taking the latter option.

More interesting posts to come soon, Friday I'll be taking out the aero-space shaped bike-rocket for a real drilling to get some nasty speed in the Qala'll be an interesting post for sure...probably filled with some more statistical numbers too.

Who doesn't like numbers?

Ah yes, I almost forgot that I have to say a few words about the rides...

Pretty much all were fun-filled rides, filled with elevation, wind, companionship and an interesting twist (quite literally) which occurred on the last ride - Wednesday's where a valve broke off completely from a friend's bike. You had to be there to believe it!

Poor Buzu!

Also, I achieved some pretty nice KOMs (King of the Mountain) achievements which were totally unplanned for! Check them out below from my rides on Strava.
